Drink & Draw is back in Groningen! After years of absence, WEP organizes these drawing sessions (with drinks) again. Are you a drawing professional or a first timer? Everyone is welcome. Bring your pens, pencils, markers, crayons, brushes and join us! Every edition we invite a guest artist who can inspire us with a small display of their work. For this edition, we’ve invited Jelte van Lente.
Jelte van Lente reflects in his work on the world around him as he encounters it in daily life. It functions as a kind of journal, a direct reflection of his observations, thoughts, dreams and feelings. The style of his work is influenced by newspaper cartoons, book illustration, contemporary painting, movies and outsider art. The two media that are central in his practice are drawing and film, but all kinds of combinations of different media are possible, often with drawing as a starting point.
